Professor David Aristoff is invited by 2 laboratories : CERMICS (Centre d'enseignement et de recherche en Mathématiques et calcul Scientifique de l'Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées) and LAMA (Laboratoire Analyse Mathématiques Appliquées).
David Aristoff is assistant professor at the department of mathematics of the Colorado State University. He develops numerical methods for high dimensional Monte Carlo simulations and analyzes them from a mathematical viewpoint. The scientific project for his stay concentrates on the study of piecewise deterministic Markov processes and their use in molecular simulation and other application fields such as large scale Bayesian inference.
